Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Last Night at about 2 A.M. Taycie woke up having a FIT which i guess was Reverse Sneezing I blew on her face which caused her to swallow and it stopped as quick as it started. It did start up again about 15 mins later and I did the same thing and that one ended it. She has done this once before maybe about 2 months ago... then never again.. She has done this durning the day VERY occasionally usally if she is drinking water fast or gets overly excited which I know those are symptoms of RS... My question is should I be worried this is happening while sleeping? Could this be Collasping Trachea? |

| ![]() This may not be reverse sneezing at all. This may be collapsing trachea. The occurrences you have described could just as easily activate a collapsing trachea episode. What are the specific symptoms besides "having a fit".

| ![]() My Barney has reverse sneezing and it sounds like he is snorting like a pig. We usually take him outside for some fresh air and he gets over it. I notice he is doing it now a bit with allergy season but his worst time of year is in the winter with dry air. You should video the event and show your vet to get a proper diagnosis.

| ![]() I am fairly certain it is reverse sneezing. Blowing in their nose will not stop a cough that is due to CT. But, as 107barney said, best to ask your vet. ![]()
