| Any San Ramon area LP specialists? Hi all – I am new to YorkieTalk & am hoping for some expert advice. My little girl Rosebud (7 yrs) has bad LP & we’ve known it all her life….she & her brother live w/ my parents as my sister & I can’t have pets in our bldg. While I was taking my parents to Scotland in Sept, my sister was running the kids around & Rosebud injured her leg – the vet said her knee was out & immediately said surgery. We didn’t want to go to such an extreme at the time & were hoping w/ time & rest she would get better – we even tried acupuncture but that didn’t really seem to work either. (Both kids have been on glucosamine all their lives) Unfortunately, it’s 3 months later & she still has a limp (better & worse depending on the day) but just this weekend, we noticed she’s eating less / losing weight so we think she’s in pain – it looks like surgery is our only other option……do any of you in the Bay Area have any recommendations on additional therapies or Yorkie LP surgeon specialists? We won’t take our little petal to just anyone! Thanks for your help!! |
