So sorry! A very sad ending! |

OP -- I am so very sorry you lost the little one. So sad. So many possibilities of things going on inside that we cannot know. You got him vet help, fed him, you did your best. That is all we can do. Sometimes it is just not meant to be. RIP little guy. Hope the rest of the litter continues to thrive. |

I'm so sorry. Sometimes it is just completely out of our hands, no matter what we try. My condolences for your loss. |
i'm sorry for your loss too. i would be equally heartbroken if that happend to me as i just had a first litter of 3. not sure how and why this occurs, but be strong and hang in there :) |
Thanks for all the nice thoughts...The other 3 puppies are doing Great and mom is doing great also...I just wanted to to the right thing by the poor little guy I hope I did not make him suffer longer than he needed by feeding him..looking back with my mind and not my heart I wish the vet had told me there was no hope and I put him out of his misery at the vet. I am thinking 4 oz at 3 weeks even for a small yorkie is way too small I would think. He is out of pain now . Hopefully this helps someone else in the same situation.Again thanks everyone for your help. |
So sorry to hear this :( |
Im sorry for your loss. Im not a dog breeder but I have had litters of kittens and it is always touch and go with the runts if they are way smaller than the others. In one litter I supplimented one and it still ended up passing. In my last litter I had one that was way smaller than the others and it thrived and caught up in weight to the others. When they arent really gaining in weight that is always a bad sign and there could be more going on wrong with them than just being the runt. You did all you could do all you can do is try to keep them going. |
