Prayers please Daisy was hit by a car, no broken bones but still a lil out of it Hi frenz, Please pray for my mommas Yorkie Lil Miss daisy:( We still dont know how in the heck she got out the front door and it is amazing that she is with us today without any broken bones. My mom had just got back with groceries and food and she had grandkids with her. While they were unloading Daisy got out:( 5 min later My mom knew she was missing they started looking for her and sure enough at the corner someone got her with thier car, the guy didnt even stop :/but it was a Friday afternnon and all the neighbors were out so they told us a lil of what happened. WE immediately took her to the ER, she is so lil we were sure something was broke, she was walking with sea legs so we thought her back leg was broke. but just staring at us shocked, of course. So xrays, overnight stay for shock and to be sure she was alright and now 2 days later...No broken bones, and they said she must have been knocked around, possible concussion, We brought her home, doc gave us a antibitoics and pain meds. she is getting up only to pee and eat and is walking around like she is sore and she looks so sad:( its been 2 days and she is home and slightly better, still moving slow and looking depressed... but I think it is going to take some time for her to be her old self again. Poor girl...has anyone ever experienced this? PLEASE PLEASE keep our DAISY in your prayers for a full recovery. FYI: she has not pooped since we brought her home, eating and drinking has been light, is there anything I can give her for that or should I just let nature take its course?? THANKS ALLLLL <3 |
Poor, little Daisy. Of course, we will say a prayer for her recovery. I'm sure she is sore and perhaps a bit traumatized. With regard to the eating and drinking; she has been doing so . . just not very much as I read your post. Lucy loves some cooked veggies mixed in with her food and they always seem to help her poop. A lot of folks on here recommend canned plain pumpkin ~ but it seems to be recommended both for constipation and diarrhea, so I'm not sure. Someone else will chime in I know! Prayers for Daisy. |
Great that she is still with you. Car VS Yorkie, and the car will always win. Wishing her a speedy recovery. |
Oh my!!! You are sure lucky it wasn't anything more serious than that!! Glad she is ok....hopefully she will be back to her old self after a few days of recuperating. |
I am so sorry to hear about Miss Daisy. I am sending prayers to her and your family. |
Adding our prayers for Daisy and a full recovery. |
Prayers for Daisy and wishing for a quick recovery. She is one lucky girl that she is doing this well. |
Poor little thing. Thank goodness she wasn't hurt badly. Try a very small amount on psyullium (sp) on her food. It has no taste and it works. Vet told me to use this after a surgery for severed ligament and Gina hadn't pooped in days. It just takes a small amount. Cherie |
I am so sorry! Keeping little Daisy in my prayers. |
Years ago my mini poodle was hit by a car. You could actually see tire tracks bruising across his tummy. He had no broken bones, no internal injuries, he was treated for shock and observed for 24 hours. We thought it was a miracle that he wasn't severely injured or killed. Little Daisy is in my thoughts and prayers. |
Sending hugs and prayers to Daisy and your family.:) |
Sounds like she had a guardian angel to begin with! Sending more prayers for a speedy recovery! |
Sending prayers your way! |

OMG, I am so sorry. It must have been scary. |
