| Lump on my baby Hi all! I just joined and hate to make this my first post but I'm worried about my 5 month old boy Bowser. I found a lump under his skin on the meaty part of one of his hind legs. This lump is about the size of a little bubble gum ball. It's hard and does move around. I just noticed it today so im not sure if its growing or not but I'm pretty sure it's new. I have a vet appointment soon to get him nuetered so I will have it looked at but I'm really worried. Bowser is my first dog so it's possible I'm overreacting a little but does anyone have any ideas what it is? |

| Did he have any vaccinations in the past month or so? They often leave a little lump that will disappear over time. |

| OMG, Thank you sooo much. I was so worried about him. Yes, he got his rabies shot about a week and a half ago. I tried to google it and got all worried about all the tumor talk. I just want him to live a long healthy life. |

| Peanut has a lump too, scared me because i forgot he had his shots.. you can try to rub them out too, and put warm compresses.. it will help break it down. I rub pnuts every night when we go to sleep and it has gotten smaller!

♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | It's so funny. When someone says "lump" on back of neck or meaty part of the leg I always think injection site. But, when I felt a lump on Catherine a few weeks ago, it never even entered my mind. I worried all night the night I felt it, waiting to call the vet the next morning. I got out her medical records (because I was freaking) and, yup, rabies shot 3 weeks prior and I had completely forgot! LOL. Turns out it was nothing, just a white blood cell reaction to the Rabies shot.

| Max's lump is almost marble sized and movable. It's a few finger's widths from his spine above his right leg. It still concerns me but my vet thinks it's from the shot. But, it's not quite on his leg.
