Great! So glad she's feeling better! :D |

We hope the medications resolve the bleeding. Our prayers are with Betty Boop. Molly and Boogies Mom |

Betty Boop Sometimes changing the diet helps prevent vomiting and bloody poops. A bland diet of boiled chicken and rice works with my Yorkies. Check with your Vet. Molly & Boogies Mom |

[QUOTE=enchilila;3302192]It is so scary to see bloody poops like that! I looked in the yard today where it happened last night and actually it didn't look like any poop at all...just mucous and blood. It sounds like Bubba really had it bad last year. I'm glad he has been doing fine since then. Do you give him anything special for the HGE? And are they 100% positive it is that? I hope Boop just ate something out in the yard that went through her. She was in the yard today and trying to find something else to get into!! She has gotten better throughout the day. She's still not 100%, but I think she will be fine. We're going to her regular vet tomorrow. Her chills didn't last long, maybe 30 minutes or so. I took her temp and it was 99. Not sure if that is considered too low or not. I'm taking it again before bed tonight. Glad to hear she is doing so much better. Sorry I didn't get back to you. I used to get email notifications of responds on threads I had posted on but I don't know what has happened as I no longer get them. The vet gave him Flagyl, Prednisone and put him on a special diet (bland) for a while. Yes, they were absolutely positive it was HGE. I hope she continues to do well. It so scarey to see them sick and not able to tell you what is going on. |
