It could have been the baby food. I don't understand why boiled chicken and rice wasn't suggested, but I'm not a vet. I hope she does ok the rest of the night. I'm sure you're very tired and worried. |

she told me i could do either or. i was already feeding her the rice with chicken bullion added. i never added the chicken to it. she told me i could get her meat baby food and feed her that. her stool is becoming more normal looking, its almost back to normal, except for being pumpkin colored. LOL. but yeah, she THREW UP! i hope its the baby food. i just used a syringe and gave her some unflavored pedialyte and gave her more nurtical. |
Be sure there is no onion powder in any baby food you give her. I would probably do the chicken & rice if it were me. But you're her mommy and you're right there, so you know what is best. I hope she will be ok. I'm sure she'll be good as new before long. |

Did you look to see if there was onion powder in the ingredients? I haven't bought any for a good loooonnng time! Read this: Onions: Onions are particularly bad for dogs. Onions contain a substance called Thiosulphate that can cause a very serious condition called Hemolytic Anemia, where the red blood cells in your dog's blood stream literally burst. (Yikes!). Dogs who have ingested onion may have diarrhea or vomiting, shortness of breath, loss of appetite, and appear tired and listless. These symptoms may not show up for 2 to 4 days after your dog has eaten the onions, so it's best to seek the advice of your veterinarian if you suspect that your dog has eaten onions. Watch for hidden sources of onion, too, such as store bought broth soups, pizza, baby foods, canned spaghetti sauces and other foods. Check the label to be sure there is no onion powder, onion salt or other form of onions. annnnddd she threw up again! this time it was thick and almost identical to mucus. |
I'm so sorry. I wish I knew what to tell you. She was fine until she got the shots. Everything went downhill from there. I hope someone else can come on your thread and offer some suggestions. Perhaps withholding food at this time may be called for. I'm just not sure what to tell you. It's time for the dr I would say. |

Just keep her hydrated and hold her. Check her gums, too, to be sure they're pink and wet. Other than a dr I can't offer any other advice. I'm so very sorry she's so sick though. I know it's frightening. |
please look at my other thread... idk if these two are related to each other or not http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...ml#post3294743 |
