shodanusmc | 09-13-2010 03:19 PM | We just got home. It was a long day, but they worked Carlo into the Radiology schedule for an Ultrasound and X-Ray, as well as Blood, and an exam.
We have cause to celebrate. Carlo has an Ulcer forming, and the Specialist believes it was causes by the new drug Paladdia which is a maintanence drug for Mast Cell Cancer. We have stopped the Paladdia, and he will contine on with Prednisone, Pepcid AC and until the Ulcer is gone, a drug called Carafate. The Oncologist realizes like me, we want a good quality of life for Carlo. No use in having a new drug possible kill him. As far as the pain and vomiting, he believes Carlo has some sort of stomach Virus and was just sensitive, and that he never really likes to be touched and pushed in that spot. He is good today. I can't thank you enough for all of the good thoughts and lkind words.
I also learned that you can always rely on the interpretation of a 2 dimensional X-Ray at qq pm at night from a non specialist. While the Vet meant well, she really has us worried, but we would have worred anyway. There is no new Cancer growth. Carlo is already making out his Christmas List. Maxine must know he is ok, as he walked near her food bowl and she let him know to get away from it, fast. |
