| Yikes A TICK.... well a couple of weeks back i found a TICK on my little yorkie above her eye, it was quite large, anyway i managed to remove it by the anti clockwise method and no squeezing, the whole thing came out alive head and legs attached, i cleaned the area with cooled boiled water and it seemed to clear up, now it had formed a hard scabby lump,is this normal, i bathed princess today, and the scab fell off and it had left a bold patch like a scar!..shes well and eating and running around like a mad hatter, anyone else had this? o and yes she has now been re'frontlined, Last edited by Princesses mum; 09-07-2010 at 08:46 AM. |

| Yes I've had that happen. I think it's a cellulitis that developes from the tick damage to the skin and surrounding area. It may take a couple of weeks to go away completely, and the hair may grow in darker but will lighten again in time.
