If she's having diarrhea, I'm assuming she isn't eating well right now either. While you are waiting to go to the vets office, you may need to treat her with some nutri-cal (not too much because you don't want her to have a rebound hypoglycemic episode) Hopefully that will perk her up enough to get her interested in drinking. You may also want to try some ice chips just to stir up her interest in fluids for now. I would go ahead and call the vets office and ask about pedialyte before giving it. |
I finally got through to the vet but they said that since she isn't lethargic anymore, there shouldn't be any problems. If it continues I will take her in no matter what. She's been improving rapidly though, and drinking too. I will most definitely keep a close eye on her. She's chasing the cat again so she must be feeling better! :rolleyes: |
