finally I waited all darn day!! Finally after a long wait I got her test results! First a big thank you to Deb!!!! and everyone else that gave their support and prayers and advice! I am soooooooo happy!!! ALT normal is 212...... Daisy 212 ALP normal is 212..Daisy 352 GGT normal is 7 ......Daisy is 10 The vet said the Diet played a big part she even wrote it down in her notes She wants to see Daisy in two weeks and to finish out her meds I am going to sing and dance around the house  I was so happy Daisy was looking at me like what the heck is going on!!! |
Yay!! :bananna: Go daisy! :cheer: This is such a relief to hear! Do a little dance mom! |
I think I'll do a little side step, too!!! Way to go, Daisy! I know you are ecstatic! |
Glad to hear the good news, may I ask what the special diet is that you are feeding her at this time? |
boiled chicken breast (boneless) Boiled egg whites Boiled white potatoes Boiled sweet potatoes boiled carrots and green beans Zucchini juice I puree the carrots and green beans I mix the carbs and vegetables together I mix the proteins together I do 2 parts carbs and veg to 1 part protein She gave me a guidline of how much protein and fats she wanted Daisy on She did not want Daisy on any omega oils for now, so finding a good quality dog food was almost impossible so after talking with her and a couple of the vets they agreed that home cooked would be good for Daisy considering that she has had so many health issues. |
Just found your thread again, and wanted to say Yippee I am so glad that Daisy is better. |

by no means is this for long term. this is not a permanent diet. this diet was for her recovery and she is still recovering, this is a diet which I have gone over with my vet and they have agreed for the time being it is suitable for Daisy's needs. Like I have said before, Daisy's case Health history and her liver hepatopathy was rare and complicated. I have complete confidence in my vet and their support system. I will cross the bridge of a nutritionist when the time comes of course I want the best for her |
Nope, I was not criticizing you. I've offered you support, suggestions, and well wishes and if you think that your response below was called for in light of those things, I'm happy to leave your thread. Again, good luck and I'm glad your little dog is improving. Quote:
