Patti is still without internet. Her house is utter chaos and she is very stressed, to say the least. Pixie's leg doesn't seem to be hanging as limp as it was last night, so I hope that means it's getting better. Patti said it is still very swollen. It's too bad there's so much going on there...Pixie would rest much better without all the painters there and things moved around. At least Patti has a bed for the night, but her daughter will have to sleep on the floor. It will probably be tomorrow night or Friday morn before she has her internet back...the way things are going. I'll continue to update as I hear and I hope tomorrow is a good update. She is taking Pixie to the vet on Saturday. Friday vets that were in she isn't very fond of. I told her there are so many people showing support here and she is so touched! |
Still sending prayers and good thoughts her way. I hope Pixie gets better soon. |
Patti, keeping you in my prayers and hope everything turns out ok. |
Keeping little Pixie and Patti in my prayers! I can only imagine their stress, having gone through this upheaval in February 2009! If Pixie is anything like Toto, she doesn't like her "den" disturbed and poor Toto's emothions were all over the place. I feel so badly for them ... it has to be awful that poor Pixie is in pain too. God bless you little one! |
Sending prayers that little Pixie improves..... |
I talked with Patti. Pixie has been walking a little on her leg...of course with a limp, but putting a little weight on it. Patti is thinking it may be going in and out. I hope it goes in and stays there. At least it sounds like things are improving somewhat. She got a shock today when the mail came and she opened her bill for the ER visit regarding her kidney stone...it was $7,100! OMGosh! She figured a few thousand. Yikes. |

I wonder if Pixie's leg is still swollen? I'm sure Patti is watching her closely and making sure she gets plenty of rest off of that leg. |
Continuing to pray for Pixie. Hoping the leg will heal completely without the need for surgery. |

Dear Connie thanks so much for the updates and your amazing support. Painters left about 6:30 tonight. Yeah Then the clean up and moving things back. Pixie is doing about the same. She voluntarily stayed in the crate most of the last 2 days which isn't like her. She does get up once in awhile and she can at least now walk with out falling over. She seems to bear a little weight on it but it still looks misplaced. Then today Nikki knocked down one of out huge wall pictures and shattered glass all over the kitchen. We were using it to block them off in the kitchen, Nikki pushed his way through it and luckily he was on the other side when it fell. Pixie and Roxie were in the crate and luckily Cali must have been a safe distance away. There were some huge pieces of glass that could have easily killed them. What a mess to clean up. Then the frame broke on my bed so my bed is know on the floor! lol It just keeps coming!! I want to thank you all for your great support and kind words. Connie was keeping me posted. I was getting to the point of not posting as I wasn't getting much response. That's why I didn't post of my Kidney stone ER visit 2 weeks ago. But I can't believe all the caring posts and this is what YT is all about. Being there when you need it the most. I am just sick over Pixie's LP. She seems so depressed. I am sure the meds are keeping her subdued. I always felt bad when I read of someone's baby having LP but never realized how debilitating it is to these poor babies. It seems when mine have gotten sick before, within a day or 2 they are better. With LP it is such a long recovery. Sorry this is so long, but I have been cooped up in the kitchen with DH and 4 dogs for 2 days and wanted to let you all know how much your posts meant to me. And Connie has been my rock, getting me to laugh when I was feeling so down. Hugs. |
I can say that when Doodlebug had his LP issue it seemed to me like all of a sudden he took a turn for the better. So hang in there and hopefully Pixie will improve with rest. She is probably pretty groggy from the pain meds so it would be expected that she would just want to lay around. I'm sorry that you had your own health issues recently and hope that you are feeling much better. But boy that was a LOT of money for an ER bill. |
So glad to hear Pixie's a bit better, and the painters are gone! Get back to living again! :D |
The swelling has me concerned as LP does not normally cause swelling. |
