Way to go Carlo! What a remarkable dog and what a remarkable doggie dad. When I need an extra smile, all I have to do is to look for a "Carlo" thread. Thank you so very much for keeping us updated on our #1 honorary Yorkie. It is so uplifting to read about his progress. Sending hugs to the big guy!

The pics of the young Carlo were incredible. I am very curious where the first picture was taken -- the snow topped mountains in the background were beautiful! And the picture of him pulling was great. What a Champ!!!

Carlo is definitely a handsome guy!!! So happy to hear tat he is doing good, I don't post too often on here but I love this big fella! Keep it up Carlo!!

I just dropped him off at the Animal Hospital today. No Chemo shot, but he will get a full blood panel, X-Ray, and Unltrasound. I asked the tech if they have to shave his stomach and side, and she said yes. When he heard that, he shook his head no, and ran to the door. Took several of us to get him back inside. I will pick him up later aftert the tests. He is doing really great. Eating like a horse, and running around, but still being so gentle with little Maxine, who basically brutalizes him.

To the person who asked about the Mountain Picture, that was taken in UTAH when we attended a Championship Weight Pulling Tournament. It was beautiful, and he placed 2nd over all. Now, he would place in the top 10! Will let you know what they tell me when I pick up up later today.

He didn't want a shave? I don't blame him. Hope Carlo's tests return good results and that continues to do well.

Love the pictures of him. I cannot believe he pulled that huge cart full of blocks! Duly impressed.

You should see how easy it was for him to pull me. When he was about 1 year old, I had the leash handle wrapped around my wrist as I was getting something out of the trunk but did not want him to wander off or get loose. He saw a squirrel and took off after it, pulling me on my face all the way across the lawn. After that, I knew we had a future weight puller. To this day, I have to get a Cortisone shot in the shoulder once a year.

I keep trying to tell people I'm not mean I'm just tough! But get me around an animal and I'm a total mush ball! So maybe I am just mean? Oh well:rolleyes:.

Here is the latest and greatest. I was in the woods doing my daily run and the Vet called. He said "Great News", all of the tests came back perfect. Good Blood, clean X-Ray, Clean Utlrasound, good heart, Kidneys and over all condition. He gained 2 more pounds. Said come and get him and see you in a week for the now semi weekly Chempo Shots. Max did not eat today because I had to leave her alone and her brother was not here. She really does miss him. Guess I will not keep him waiting.

Woohoo! Great news! :) Now he can come home and he and Maxine can eat together!

Ok! Does that mean he's clean of cancer cells? I pray so.

He is home, and you can tell he is tired. They had to sedate him for the tests. They tried to hold him still, but even with 6 people trying to hold them steady, he dragged them all over the place. One of the Vet techs said her muscles had not been this sore since childbirth. The bill was $842 for the 3 tests. I asked if they were throwing in a pair of pants and a shirt for that price. He goes back in next week, and I may have to delay my trip as marge may be out of town and someone needs to be home with him to let him out almost every 2 hours. Besides, pretty hot now in TX, right Texans?

Thank you. How are things over in S. Africa? Are there any good Boerbel breeders there? I considered them but went with the Cane Corso. A good one is quite a dog. Now, Yorkies rule, but mastiffs are a close 2nd!
