Very Sick Puppy
 

No good news yet. The breeder refuses to believe it came from him so I will file the appropriate paperwork to report him. I may also report it on the websites that he has his listings!!!! My older dog got really sick again last night. She ended up pooping water by 9 pm. I'm following her around in the dark with a flashlight, bucket, shovel, and bleach. She has to go the full length of the yard too to find the perfect spot. I've now sectioned off a small section of the yard and will put her in to potty until she gets more stable. The tractor/farm supply store recommended Demon WP pesticide for the yard. He said it will kill just about anything. I put in the sectioned off area and am letting it dry. By the time she needs to go after dinner, she will be able to get in there. Hopefully it's killed some of the parasites. I'm waiting for the vet to call back with results from all three fecal samples I dropped off this morning. I visited the doctor also and he gave me pills to help kill my ringworm and/or any fungus that I have gotten.

Still bleaching, cleaning, washing, giving medication, and a lot of crying. I need to buy stock in bleach. I've gone thru seven containers since last Friday and just purchased five more today.

You poor thing!! I wouldn't wish what you are going through on anyone, certainly not on their pets. Your poor babies can't be feeling well. It's just awful that you haven't really been able to enjoy your new baby. Hang in there, this will pass. How is your neighbor and her dog doing?

I have to put in my 2 cents here also. I had bought a pup with giardia and coccidia. The usual treatment is metronidazole for the giardia and then albon for the coccidia. My vet ,however, no longer prescribes metronidazole for giardia because nine times out of ten it doesn't take care of it. He put her on a new drug called Marquis for the coccidia,2 doses one week apart from each other. And for the giardia Safeguard dewormer for 5-6 days wait 2 weeks and again for another 5-6 days. He told me to buy the one for beef and dairy cow or even the horse Safeguard. Its all the same medication just packaged different and way cheaper than the canine dewormer. You can look it up online to which is what I did. I hope all goes well for you and your plight .

Don't know much about the Demon WP the farm store told you about. But think I'd be careful. Wouldn't want your dogs being posioned w/demon wp on top of everything else.
