Roriee (AAI puppy) has had a major relapse!

This probably isn't the place to ask this, but there doesn't seem to be a better one, so..... I've been thinking about Randi all day and wondering how her surgery went. Is anyone here in contact with her? I pray that her surgery was successful. If anyone knows would you please pm me? Thank you.

The neurologist is not sure if this is pain from the AAI or something possibly related to the GME, perhaps behavioral. He does lean towards it being from pain.

The plan for today is to complete the infusion of cytosar this morning. We asked about a body cast to see if that might make her more comfortable until we can see if she will respond to the medicine. We will then give it another 24 hours to see how things are going. Sometimes it can take a couple of weeks before the medicine will show improvement. The only way we can have the luxury of that time is if the body cast helps her comfort level.

I personally heard her screams the other day and it was horrific. This is one of the saddest things I have ever encountered.

I know you all are praying for Roriee. You are all total angels for what you have done...the response to her has been so overwhelming to all of us. Thank you is not enough to say for what everyone has done. Your support in so many different ways....kind words and everything is just so appreciated.

My prayers go out to little Roriee. I still believe in miracles...

Just caught up on this thread, and can hardly stop crying. I am sending prayers and loving thoughts to surround Roriee and Randi, and to all those involved in their care. Let this wave of love wash all over them in these critical times.

A few of us are sending Randi some flowers and a card. I think Lissette (manolosmom) may know later if Randi is okay. All the best to Randi, and may healing be on its way for her.

Randi is out of surgery and is in pain, but the surgery went well. That is all I know.

No, I don't expect to hear anything about her until tomorrow morning unless something comes up that is new.
