All of her bills are being paid for through YHR so there is no a fund set up with a vet for donations. Yorkie Haven Rescue is a 501C3 Charitable Organization and all donations are used solely to treat the Haven pups. If you were to make a donation to Roriee she now has an account and your donation will go toward her care. Are you questioning the legitimacy of YHR? I am very confused by your question.

This is True. However and I can't figure it out to save my life. But so many people don't know an Emergency when it Slaps them in their head. Could someone Please explain this to me? I have seen it time and time again where they have to be told/asked to PLEASE take your dog to a vet or ER and so many times it's like talking to a wall. I have suggested on many ocassions that if they cannot afford vet care please consider turning the dog over to a rescue.

Yes, I would agree and point well made. What I was trying to point on was:

This is when it become dangerous. Uninformed people looking to misguided wanna be vets. Whether or not their intentions are to help there is always the possibility of harm.

I can't speak for her but I know that some people do not want others to know how much they are donating. Others are worried about identity theft. When I donate I do it directly to the vet or specialist as well.

Donating to a person is different then a Charitable organization. Are you trying to say that YHR is going to steal your identity! WTH! I totally speechless that you would even think to say something like.

after reading the last 4 or 5 pages of posts. I hope and pray EVERYONE has a good nights sleep. Is chipper in the morning and that lj has some good news about roiree in the morning. After all this is a post about her well being.

Roriee is no longer with a private person(Randi) and has been surrendered to rescue. As far as I know there is not a rescue out there that sets up a fund with a vet for care. I do not know all of the rules relating to donations but I believe that as a rescue funds need to be accounted for and that is how it is done. I also don't understand why you would not want to benefit from a Tax Deduction if you were to donate?

If you have questions about any of this I suggest that you PM LadyJane directly and ask her in private. This thread was not intended to turn into making donation to YHR or for that fact a bashfest of any members of YHR. It's intention is for the care of Roriee and to keep those concerned in her progress informed.

Lilymae~I am sorry that I misunderstood what your intent was but since it was posted on a the thread I felt it should be answered that way as well. Do you not trust Paypal?

Just my two cents here.... I really hope this thread turns into updates or Roriee's health and care. (And not bickering about donating to vets vs. rescues and various diagnosises.) Personally, that is what I hope to check up on each day.

Also wanted to add - I am so thankful that Roriee is getting the best of care and appreciate members of Yorkie Haven for all their hard work to make this possible.

Roriee, please feel better! You are in great hands now because your Mommy loved you enough to let you go. Thoughts and prayers headed up to Our Father to guide the hands of the vets taking care of Roriee, and also to the doctors taking care of Randi. This is only about Roriee.
The donation through the rescue is handled through Paypal. The donation is for her care. I don't understand the problem at all.

I'm praying for this little girl & will wait on updates as they become available. She is the ONLY thing that matters. Please let us all keep the focus on her!
