Randi is telling everyone that Roriee is ok now, but I suspect it is because she is afraid people are going to report her.

I was told that this pup needs surgery by the vet. I had called to offer to pay for a body cast IF it were recommended, but they told me surgery was and that there was never even an estimate written. She was there in December and she never returned. SO, if Randi decided upon the surgery, that would be the first step....a call to them and a written estimate. I would have spent up to $1,000 if a body cast would help.......I am not spending $4,000. I seriously think it is offensive that people interfered the way they did and wonder if THEY offered to pay...or if their only focus was to prevent rescue from helping. Or..they wanted to redefine rescue. :rolleyes:

Randi, at one point, was considering surrendering her, but some people got to her and told her how mean people are for suggesting that; so now she is back to keeping her.

I am personally horrified to think that this pup is living in pain and have not been able to stop thinking about it for days.

The people who did this have done a great job here of making sure this pup did not get help. They turned the entire thing into a bash LJ for even daring to suggest rescue. I honestly dont care about that...I ONLY care that this has prevented this pup from getting proper care.

SO...I called Randi yesterday, but her phone does not allow blocked calls and I do not wish to give her my number. At this point, I am going to advise her to get a written estimate and THEN start asking for help from the orgs that I sent to her! She cannot ask for money without a written estimate! Then, if she would just email or PM me, I will help her out...and of course I EXPECT all of these other people to put their money where their mouths are and help out as well. Eight people putting up $500 each would do the trick and I see about seven who think that rescue is a bad option. What I am offering is on a personal level..NOT rescue. It is MY money. Can I really afford it? No...I have my OWN pups to care for and before I got them I made sure there was a fund for their care. But that is another story.

The only thing these people who have complained about how mean I am have accomplished is to harden me more. I will NEVER involve myself in anything like this again. I will turn my back, ignore it, and let the pup die. Why? Because I seriously have been sick over this one pup...and trust me there are SO many more like her that it is mind boggling. I do that now with shelters because I cannot save them all...I will also now do it with YT. Once I see a pup and keep talking about it and then know it is suffering, it is impossible for me to forget it. Offering rescue was saving Roriee. I am sick of people and their mouths...like I said, cough up some money and I will be right there with mine! THIS IS ABOUT RORIEE. I was told she DOES need surgery. I dont care what other stories are being told today about her miraculous recovery...that is because Randi is fearful that we are going to report her.

We cannot raise money on YT. Those of you who are doing Randi so many favors by telling her everything that is being posted...please DO share this with her. After she gets an estimate, then she can set up a fund at the vet. I will NOT send money directly to her or anyone else and would not expect anyone else to. My guess is it is her first offer of money and that is what she needs right now...not a bunch of forwarded messages about how mean other people are for trying to help. Please remember that this cannot turn into a fundraising thread! Use PM or email.

I've already posted to you (about this) and just want to say again - if ANYONE questions your motives / writing style etc here - they really need to read what you just offered. That's mind blowing and I wish people understood where your heart is in all that you do.

The he** with me. It is time for everyone to cut the nonsense and DO something productive before this poor pup dies.

But, everyone needs to remember...that we cannot do it for every pup that comes along. I am ONLY doing this because the do gooders, in my opinion, led Randi down the wrong path...and Roriee is smack in the middle of it. Just like a child in a divorce ... with parents playing tug of war with him/her. :(

V, I spoke with Linda today and she has been a wreck over this poor puppy. She cant get that little face out of her mind. She has a Heart of Solid Gold and I stand behind her. Her offer very generous. Lissette

wow! that is about all I can come up with after trying to read this thread. here is how I see it and this is only my opinion.

1. there is a pup in dire need of surgery to correct a problem;
2. this pup is in pain and has been since December?!?!?;
3. the owner does not have the funds to have the surgery done

if I am correct then why is she not giving this poor baby up to a rescue who is more than willing to help this poor animal. if anybody can sit there and watch their animal suffer on a daily basis for that length of time, well then....that person certainly DOES NOT deserve to own an animal. you do what's best for your pet even if that means surrendering this poor helpless baby to a rescue who can supply what is needed.

I can't believe ANYONE questions your motives. You have dedicated your life to this. I hope this pup is surrendered to someone who can give it the care it deserves. :(

You get the name and address of a Vet that wil do it, and I will send them $501! Now how about stopping your rant ad Nausem about "some people". You can't help everyone, or every dog.

and who said not to give it to a Rescue. All that was asked by someone was why can't the dog go back to the owner. I do not believe that question was out of the ordinary or uncalled for. Why do dogs wind up in a rescue? Oh, and yes, I have been donating to a new Resuce that is just getting under way. You want references? If I was a dog, I would not want to go to you.

I am not going to respond to anything on this thread because people are beyond ignorant. They complain about me and then come at me like they do and feel justified. This is taking away from a pup that needs help..all of the insults and garbage statements about people you don't even know anything about.

I will pm those who want to help Roriee. She is ALL that matters here. :)

If one knows Linda on personal basis, this is not a grandstand play on her part. But, it is a method to call out those that thwarted her progress (and she had got Randi to the point of turning over this pup to rescue).

However, if she can't make contact with Randi, it is a moot point.

This thread is worse than having a piece of Sharpnel taken out of a joint.

Seriosuly, I hopew it all works out, but the "they said this", do gooders, etc is not helping. Where is the OP? WHere is the Dog? $501 from me to the Vet if legit and if it will help. My last post on this thread. Now the Admin may spank me! Oh my!!!!!

I bolded what I hope is remembered besides what you said. It would really be an injustice if people read this thinking this happens all the time - (that kind of offer) because it doesn't. There are caring people here but this is not the norm...which is why I said what I said. I know where your heart is as do many people here and you're correct - this isn't about you but it still shows the kind of person you are -

I think most agree - as hard as it would be to 'give up' your own pet - sometimes the hard decisions show your love. It's like when it's time for them to cross the bridge. It's out of love that many face that decision ....no dog should live in constant pain when there are options available....even if we don't like those options.:(

There are several websites up asking for donations for this pup, there is nothing about vet costs. As a couple of people said; the vet that Randi too this poor pup to, has only seen the pup once. Surgery was recommended by the vet, Randi decided to go another route.

All the ranting in the world is doing nothing to help this poor dog, if the pup still exists; yes Randi's websites are asking for funds looked a bit questionable. No estimate for the surgery was ever provided.
