My Yorkie tremble badly when breathing in Sry to introduce myself this way, but my Yorkie on and off has been trembling very badly "ONLY" when breathing inwards. he was throwing up 2 days agao, and seems a bit thinned out, we got him some wet food mixed with dry food just so he would eat. also I have done alot of research and read about the hypoglycemia, so we went out and bought him some karo syrup. didn't seem to help the trembles when breating in. it seems like he's in pain but don't know for sure. I'm here to get advice on this issue b4 I rush him to the vet, beings we don't have alot of money. Any advice would be very greatful. P.S. I have no probs going in debt if yous really think I should take him to the vet, but I don't wanna go in debt for them to say he's fine. thnx, Chris |
I forgot to mention that he had 3 ticks on him about 2 weeks ago and we got them all out. we have alot of ticks where we live. |

I'm a new puppy owner and only have had one dog in the past, so I don't have loads of experience like some people. BUT if your dog seems in pain, bring it to the vet. The poor little thing. I know how hard it is to decide sometimes as it is very costly, but if he's in pain, that's enough for me to bring him in. Hopefully it will be something minor. But the fact he had 3 ticks could mean something. I don't know what the symptoms of Lyme disease in dogs are, but I know dogs can get it. Good luck. |
Is he a puppy or an adult dog. When a dog is as small as Yorkies I don't put off the vet if I get the feeling something could be really wrong. It doesn't take much for a small dog to hit bottom. If you can get him to the vet that would be the best thing. |
I would probably make an appointment at this point - I wouldn't want to mess around with breathing, and the shaking concerns me also. Good luck, I hope your little one is ok! |

Welcome to YT! I agree with everyone else....puppies can go downhill very quickly. He sounds like he needs to be seen by a vet ASAP! |
Hi and welcome, it's good you've joined us. Sorry to hear though it's because your pup is sick. This could be serious, please don't hesitate getting him to a vet. |
