Help!! styrafoam pellet - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Pixie got a hold of a styrafoam pellet and I was able to get half of it out of her mouth. She ate half and Daisy quickly grabbed the other half of the pellet. will they pass this or is this a serious thing. Can I give them something to make them pass it? Help!!

I hope someone has advice to offer you but I would call the vet to see what they have to say. Hope your babies are ok!

I would call the vet right away. I know that can harm them but I don't know how much. Please let us know what the vet says.

I called the vet and they asked me if I had any more of the pellets and I said yes. They said to run it under water and if it dissolves then they are fine. So I am running this pellet under the water while I am on the phone and hoping it dissolves and YES it did. I was like Thank God!!
They said to keep an eye on them but they should be fine.
They both ate some carrots and grean beans and are running around as usual so I think that they are fine. Boy I tell ya what they get into, I had opened a package and one fell out of the box and Pixie was there lickety split and off like a bandit. Daisy helped her destroy the evidence. they stress me sometimes.

Wonderful news! We now try to open packages by the front door with him upstairs behind the baby gate because he has grabbed these pellets too. Thankfully we were able to pry them out of his mouth. It was so scary.

Oh how scared you must have been. I am so glad everything is ok. These little buggers are worse than my skin kids when they were toddlers.LOL They sure do keep us on our toes don't they.

They are worse than when the kids were toddlers! ugh!! I was having a heart attack especially when not only pixie got it but Daisy grabbed the remains. I was so glad when it dissolved in that water

I am going to open packages in the kitchen and they are in the living room with the gate CLOSED!

my dex just did this a couple weeks ago and he threw up alot after as they petroleum in some of those but after vomitting for hours he was ok

but he did it one other time before and no issue so keep an eye on your little one

So glad Pixie and Daisy are ok. It has happened to us too. I wish they would stop using those things. Sorry you had such a scare but glad everything turned out alright. Have a good night.

Gosh, they eat the darnest things, don't they?

I find stuff in Momo's #2 all the time...rubberbands, hair, stuffing from toys, & one time a hair snap clip!

I try to keep the floors clean as possible, but being so low to the ground...he's like a yorkie roomba lol.

lol yorkie roomba - at christmas dex pooped a red bow - i think he wanted to give me a christmas present - have no clue how he got that one but that thank goodness was the only wierd poop present we got

I love that!! Yorkie roomba!!! I call Pixie the scavenger!! She is a lil snail that runs along the bottom looking for ANYTHING to feed on!!
