| Help! My yorkie jumped out of the sink and has blood in stool!!! My dear yorkie, Marley, is only 14 weeks old and 2 lbs. My husband was bathing him and took his hand off for a second. We have a deep sink and he thought it was okay because he is so little. In that half a second, he jumped out!!! He landed on his right side. He yelped and cried for a minute. We dried him off and checked him out. Nothing seemed broken. He was able to jump and play with his brother. This was 2 hours ago. He was sitting a little funny and we planned to take him to the vet in the morning (closed now). Well, 30 minutes ago he got tired and wanted us to hold him. We tried karo syrup to wake him and he didn't perk up. Just tired. He just went poop and there was blood in it! I am terrified. Is this internal bleeding? Anything I can do? I am so scared and bawling my eyes out. His brother will miss him dearly and I won't know what to do without him. His nose is bone dry but his gums are still pink. Help! |

| Thanks everyone. I am a nervous wreck. I am going to try to figure out how to get him to the vet. We live in a tiny town with only 2 vets and they are both closed. We do not have a car (we take the bus, walk, and bike) and it already quit running today to get us into the city. I am trying to see if I can get a neighbor to take us. I called the cab company's and they don't work out here (we are too rural). I am so worried that he has internal bleeding. I think his bones are fine but something is wrong. |

| There are ER vets in Spokane and I would take him in right away as these little ones can go downhill very quickly. Sorry this happened and hope Marley will be OK and you too.

Do you have the number to your local er vet? If not, just dial 411 and get the number. I am sure one of your neighbors would be happy to take you. We will send good thoughts your way, and please let us know what you find out.

| There are vets in Spokane (lots of them) and they have a great emergency vet. I live about 30 minutes outside the city though. Two neighbors are gone and my husband is over talking to the third neighbor. I am crossing my fingers that I get him there soon. His brother is normally mean to him and plays very rough but now he is just laying by him side. Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers, we need every bit of them. I will update later. |
