I disagree with you Chachi, the Vet is the obvious answer. Some people like to get other opinions, perhaps people with similar issues and what their Vet said. There is nothing wrong with getting other opinions. Most vets do not know a lot about nutrition. I have been through 3 vets already, trying to find a good one- there have been times when a proper diagnosis was not given and meds were given in hopes to cure whatever it was. When my puppies were coughing and sneezing, two different vets told me it could be a couple different things, we try one treatment and if it didn't work we'd go from there.
It just frustrates me when people think vets are gods, I'm dropping it now but I'll say this
If anyone has a good vet then they are lucky. | I agree as i have been let down by vet profession and why i go to specialists alot - If someone has a great vet that is wonderful but let's remember not every one does so I guess we can all keep an open mind to that.
If i was wrong about post from Bon Bon i apologize i just got the same post pm me from someone in her yorkie rescue yesterday so found that a coincidence and it did not sit well with me and another owner came here seeking help and left mad as all she got was go see a vet and i do not want to see new members leaving because no one wants to offer help in sick and injured section if they have experience with what that owner is experiencing because they are not vets - NONE OF US ARE VETS we are trying to help with what we have experienced with our own dogs and trying to give information.
Don't ask if you are afraid of what it might be as alot of things have similar symptoms and needs to be narrowed down and consulted with a vet but there is nothing wrong with others trying to help them narrow down along with them and offer information and support. While I appreciate prayers, comfort and caring I most importantly want INFORMATION and other experienced yorkie owners to help in narrowing things down so i can review with my vet or specialist. I think this is what other owners want as well when they post here and attacking one another is not helping anyone. If you read below we all in one way or another said to see a vet but we did not put down other members on the group trying to help others and that was my point. We can agree to disagree and that is fine as we will not all agree all of the time as health is a complex issue but we are all here because we care about our dogs and other dog owners that are trying to get help. If we all become so paranoid about helping then what good is this section going to be - we might as well get rid of it and say if your dog is sick GO SEE A VET which most people do anyway.
I just think there are alot of intelligent knowledgeable people here and we should try to get along and if you disagree say you disagree and show back up information and not put others down or name call as that is not going to help anyone.
so again I apologize if I have offended anyone as my intention is due to having sick dogs to help others with sick dogs. I am on 64 dog groups and read alot and on several vet groups and have vets that are very helpful so i try to help others with that information.
sorry to op for this getting out of control as well |
