| Low Calcium Level My little female dog has been in the emergency hospital for two days due to low calcium levels. They have run blood tests on her before and after treatment and are not able to get the levels up to where they should be. They suspect an underlying condition like kidney, thyroid etc. is causing this. I am unable to find any information on the net as most of the issues deal with high calcium levels instead of low (with the exception of mothers who are nursing and develo eclampsia) She is in heat but her last litter was 7 months ago so it is not pregnancy related. Any suggestions? I have big decisions to make today. |

| I don't have any suggestion, but I hope all goes well for your baby.

| Not sure what would cause this but try some brocolli as it is very high in calcium. |
