The vet thinks the blinds irritating his tummy could cause his ALT to be high. Do you think thats possible? The blinds are a flexible vinyl. My other baby Bo has already passed his. Didn't cause him any problems. Sorry to hear about your baby isn't well:( |

Bo passed some blinds 4 days ago. Not sure about Rosco been checking his poop haven't really seen any blinds, but he seems to be ok. Thats what I was thinking in a few months have him retested. Thanks a bunch:) |
Rosco is doing much better. I am still going back to vet in a couple of months and have vet check his liver count again. I finally found some food that all 3 will eat:D They love the canned lamb and rice w/ green beans and sweet pot.It is Natures Recipe. $2.70 a can:eek: You do what ever it takes for your babies:thumbup: Thank God they don't eat alot. How is your baby doing Debbie? |

The dry is 25% protein and canned is 8.0%. They were on Wellness super mix which is 28% and I am still mixing it in with Nature Recipe. He is so picky. I bake them tilipia fish also. Is that ok to give them? It is very hard to find a low protein food he will eat. |

have you thought about home cooking? I say see what next blood work shows if still high you need to be on 22% protein with no symptoms |
If that is my last resort I will home cook. It is very hard with my work schedule. They only thing about home cooking is that chicken seems to be the popular food to fix and that gives Rosco musucy poops. They finished up the rest of the tilipia. I will get cod next. Thanks for your help. |
Can you get venison? I see you are from Tennessee. Do you have any hunting friends who would give you a leg of venison? Some hunters don't want to mess with the front leg, and it would give you lots of food. Boil it and debone it. Run it through the blender and mix it in the proper proportions with rice and veggies for home made food. Freeze it in ice cube trays, then pop them out and put then in a baggie. I feed it frozen in the summer, and thaw it in winter. We only use it when his tummy is acting up. Of course, check with your vet for your special situation first. |
