First Aid Kit? I have realized the importance of having my (dog) First Aid Kit. Please excuse my ignorance...... I'm learning FAST ;) but........ I have read the posts for things that should be included in a First Aid Kit. But I will be the first to admit that most of this stuff, I would have no idea what it is used for. Do I need to just put together a kit with all these items and hope that I NEVER have to use it? I would never self diagnose so I wouldn't give anything without professional advise but I certainly don't want to need something and not have it on hand. Do you keep all these items in your first aid kit? Thanks for your advise, it is greatly appreciated!! |
I have to admit I'm a first aid kit freak! I've had one and keep refreshing my supplies since high school. But... it's a human first aid kit. I never thought I would need a separate doggie first aid kit for Kaji. Thanks for the reminder! |
Dog First Aid First aid for dogs, just like first aid for humans, is an effective combination of knowledge, supplies and skills, put into action for the benefit of your four-legged friend. I have a First Aid Kit with all kinds of things in it. I look at it as insurance. You just never know when you might need it. |

I cannot tell you how important all of this information is! It has saved my pups several times! I also have the numbers of the regular vet and ER vet posted several places in the house. I have been known to panic and forget where things are. |
Great information! Just when I thought my first-aid kit was complete!! LOL! I think we will have to get something bigger to hold everything. Hmmm maybe a suitcase!! LOL!!:) |
