Ohhhhhh a friend of mine just suggested that we all start calling this EC. They might respond if enough people call them.
I am definitely calling again!

it's an emergency hospital and they are very busy
when i called last week they put me on hold and never came back
the receptionist don't simply care
if we can only speak to dr norton or the ceo of the ER hospital
just to see at least how ava is doing; is she eating is she depressed; how are they treating her
and if they can accept 10% of the bill and i am willing to volunteer for the hospital; until i figure out something
i did send a letter to the ceo stating all this; but i am not holding my breath
i am afraid it's too late and won't be hearing from either hospitals

i am about to give up; i feel so helpless
i tried joining a group on yahoo; and they thought i was scamming them for money; which i never asked for
not sure how they came to this conclusion and how mean they were
people just don't have heart and compassion anymore:cry:

ok; i couldn't take it anymore
so i called the ER hospital once more and asked for dr norton; they said she won't be there until sunday.
so i asked them if at least i can get the total for the bill to work something out; mary the receptionist said they can't give me any type of info since i signed my rights away;
so i told her please have a heart; ava was everything to me; she was my baby adn i had to do what i did on thanksgiving out of love; i just need to know how she's doing; she said i cant tell you anything; call back on sunday and speak to dr norton.

i am afraid it's too late; according to the law i have no more rights and might not be able to get her back. i can't even get simple info such as the total of the bill.
so now my only hope is the letter that i sent to the ceo of the hospital.

you joined a group i am on as i saw the posts tonight and sorry that happened to you as there are some really nice people on there and i just posted that i am aware of your story. Sorry again this happened to you but i did let them know this is not a scam and you are extremely upset and trying to get your dog back - sadly there are alot of scams out there to get money from people and this does happen in the dog world alot so many are skeptical when a new pet owners comes on about finances so i posted the links here to show them what all has transpired with your dog and what you have gone through :(

the sad thing is alot of specialty hospitals do not take this so not every vet facility takes care credit as it costs the vet the entire time the owner is not paying interest the vet pays the interest so many do not take it for that reason sadly :( If they do depending on the cost of the bill it can be as much as 12-18 months no interest as long as bill is paid in full by that date

thanks for backing me up.
i honestly don't want anything from anyone;
i am looking only for support; and i wanted to kindly ask if you can write an email and letter to the CEO; to see if it will make a difference.
but i am not forcing anyone.
Barb didn't need to be so harsh and judgmental; saying if i don't have money then i shouldnt have a dog; not knowing my story and that i spend 4k in that ER hospital alone; and 8k within 2 years; without any diagnosis to help treat her.

They could allow you to make arrangements if they wanted to, but they don't HAVE to, you signed the dog over, a contract is a contract. It is not "how they interpret it". It's a contract. And apparently they do not wish to work with you, for whatever reason.

You are just giving yourself false hope. They may have even placed the dog somewhere else by now, and therefore they cannot get her back either. If the law did not enforce contracts we would all be in serious trouble. The law does not reverse cotracts just because someone had second thoughts.

You did the right thing. Just trust that she is getting the care she needs.

I have seen people reclaim their dogs that I would NEVER have thought would happen. One signed her pup over to a shelter....the shelter turned it over to a rescue and she went to court and got the pup back!

You have not even seen this contract, so you really do not know that it is not possible.

Yes, it is how a person interprets the law. Isn't that what the Supreme Court does? Interpret? What many other people have done prior to it getting to them???

i understand the law and i am not having second thoughts; i didn't have a choice in that matter to begin with;
i just wanted to know at least one time how she's doing.
when i last spoke to the vet on saturday; i asked her if they can contact me just to tell me that she's doing better; she told me they will;
she didnt have to lie; she shouldn't have given me false hope and should have just told me we can't do that.
i know its a contract but i was only asking them of how much the bill was; and they can't even answer that question.
i am sure she's getting the care she needs and deserves; but doesnt give me a peace of mind when they can't even tell me 2 little words; that she's fine.

I am very sorry that you are going thru this. I know how you are feeling as I rehomed a little girl and have regretted from the moment I did it. I hope that this will resolve for the best. Sending you my best wishes.

The Supreme court interprets law, not a veterinarian.

Yes it might be possible to get it back, but she could not even afford the medical care, how is she going to afford a lawyer.

Sometimes it is best just to know that you did what you had to do at the time and move on.

It is obvious that they are not going to give her any information. Maybe by law they cannot give her any information because they might have already placed the dog somewhere else.

She cannot move forward until she lets go. so my advice is to stop with the false hope and let it go so you can move forward.

She knows all of the above as do I. She is going through a grieving process. "My" advice is to allow her to do that.
