| Fluids for Kidney Failure My little Brody (14 months old) is in kidney failure and the vet wants us to give him fluids at home. My daughter went to the vet and learned how to do it but when it came time today to do it we had trouble. He cried and bleed a little and then the needle fell out before we got any fluids into him. It was a big disaster. We know we need to do this to help keep him alive as long as possible but how do we get past the fear of hurting him? Does anyone else have to do this to their babies?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so sorry. I lost Dixie to congenital kidney failure at 7 months but we never got to the point of giving her fluids. I would have the vet show her again and maybe watch while she does it the first couple of times.

| So sorry about your baby Dixie. It is a horrible disease and it is heartbreaking watching our babies waste away. I like your idea it can't hurt to get another lesson. It might help to build my daughters confidence.Thank you.
