Yayyyy!!! We cannot wait to hear that Snickers is home! I bet you are so excited to see your baby!! |
Update We went and saw our lil baby last night, and he was so happy to see us!! He practically jumped out of his bed and into my arms!! I love him sooooo much! He looked good, but sad eyes!! I could tell he was on a lot of meds. His incision looked very good, pretty small and nothing scary looking. It felt so good to hold him. Here's the thing that ticks me off!! I just called to see how his night was, and the idiot girl who picked up has me worried. I asked how he was and all she said was the doctor will be in at 9am and will examine him and tell you. I was like DOES HE LOOK OK? IS HE AWAKE?? And she was like "yeah, um, he is fine" UGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I feel like going over there and kicking her butt, she is making me worried, now I feel like something is wrong. Do these idiot techs not understand Snick is like my child!!!???? I can't wait to bring him home later!!!!!!!! My baby!!! -Vivian |

Bonbon....I KNOW!!!!!! GRRRrrrrRRRRRRR!!!! She's going to hear an ear-ful. All she could have said was let me go and check on him and I'll call you back or hang on 1 min while I go see. Yes, I have nothing planned this weekend besides SNICKERS!!!! Oh, and I think I might start putting Christmas decor up in my house since I will be home with so much time on my hands...:) I know, it's too early, but OH WELL:) xoxox- Viv |

I had one tech that when I called at 11 pm wasn't so encouraging either. He made me wonder if Hot Rod was not doing so well. but when I called back at midnight, the other tech was very much more reassuring and compassionate. I know that sometimes these folks just don't get it, but it is necessary to put yourself in the patients mommy's and daddy's place-they are our children. sorry you got one of those types of techs too. :( Well, it's after 9:00, waiting for an update on lil Snickers! :) |
So glad to see he made it through with flying colors! I'm sure that vet tech was just clueless, and he was doing fine. I can't wait to see another positive update! :D Now, you just need to look forward to bringing Snickers home and starting with those Christmas decorations. :p |
Hubby just called and said Snick is doing GRRREEEEAAATTTT!!! I can pick him up anytime today so will be going right after work!!!!!!! Yayyyyyy!! My lil soldier!! I am so HaPPPPPPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! Yipppeeee -Viv |
Okay, you had me scared, I've been checking and checking for your update. lol. So glad all is good and Snickers is good to come home. :) I'm glad you got to see him yesterday, we weren't allowed to. :( The surgeon thought it would be too much excitement and he would want to come home. I bet Snickers will be so ready to be back in mommy's arms. :) Have a great day and I hope time flies for ya! |

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Vivian, I was getting so worried when you didn't post again right away. I know I get attached to other member's babies, but man, Snickers you had me tied in knots! I'm thrilled he's doing so well! :D:D:D |
The vet said Snick was the best patient and that he is the CUTEST sticking his head out of all his blankets and bed!!! I LOVE HIM!! Last night there was another lil doggie (shih zu I think) who had no blankets or bed:( Some people!!!!! I'm so happy:) -Vivian |

Bo---I know, they said they will take his blankets but were not sure if they would use them post surgery. They said depending on the incision, they would use the bedding or not. Snicks stitched went in so well that he was able to use his bedding (thank goodness!) He did use his bedding while waiting for surgery too. xoxox- Viv |

I was just reading your thread and catching up- isn't it nice to have your baby back with you?! Those are the most agonizing hours waiting- I cleaned my entire house with a fine tooth comb- twice! haha The playpen sounds like a great idea! Just wanted to make sure Snickers wouldn't try to jump out of it. I know that standing on hind legs is a really big no- no after surgery because it makes the pins back out, and in his usual pen Moose would always stand up on his hind legs and try to get us to get him out. So I built Moose an enclosure that he had tons of room in but had a head cover so he couldn't stand up. The things we do for our babies haha! :p Just looking out for his little legs and wanted to make sure Snickers wouldn't do that! |
