| Had to take my boy to vets He keep on bringing up his food and then had blood in his stools and was so lethagic and unhappy so that was it, off to the vet as quick as, vet thinks he just had a tummy upset or eaten something he found and gave him a steroid injection called Vetacortyl and I have to give him 1/4 a tablet twice daily of Trichozole for 6 days, anyway the injection was almost immediate, we got home and he ate and kept it down (he's only allowed chicken and rice or potatoes) bland food vet said protein and starch, vet also said steamed fish, never given him fish before, do any of your babies eat fish (steamed with nothing else) and do you think I should worm him and give him flea treatment as he is due for those tommorrow, If he's not completely better by Thursday vet is going to do blood work.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Sure hope he gets better soon! I would check with the vet about the worming. Probably should not do this until he is having no more symptons.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry your little one is sick. I would ask the vet about giving him his worming and flea meds. Maybe he will want you to wait until he is better.

| I have fed my yorkies fish before and they loved it. I baked some Tilipia.

| Definitely wait until he is better and off all medication and eating before you do anything else like flea/deworming treatments. May cause a bad reation as their systems are small and easily compromised.

| George is doing much better now and nearly back to normal, hasn't really taken to the fish but i think I'll keep introducing it slowly so he will get used to it for future mishaps (hope not), I did ring and ask vet about worm and flea medication and he answered the same as you people, so leaving that for a few more weeks, has been a struggle to get him to eat tablets so have to be mean and put in his throat (lucky he forgives me) but I don't blame him they taste foul as I accidently licked my finger after breaking one into 1/4 also tried mixing with his chicken and cat ate it instead, huge cat so no worries of overdose there
