| Is Bella Okay, I'm Worried! She's Our Very First Dog, EVER . . . Bella, 10 months old seemed slightly out of sorts today. She usually does the reverse sneezing when she's excited but today it's been little bouts of slight something, sounds like the reverse sneezing but not as deep or intense. She is also licking/sticking her tongue in and out, and swallowing in a noticeable way. I am not saying these are all highly visible to the average onlooker, I just know Bella and her behavior very well, so I noticed the differences. Do dogs get coughs or sore throats? She is eating/pottying normallyand seems to feel normal when we watch her overall behavior. Am I overreacting? Should we schedule a vet visit? Thanks for any input you can provide. We love her so dearly and always try to do what is best for her in every way. |

No Longer a Member | Does Bella have long hair around her face? Nicholas did something like that and it was his long hair from the side of his mouth had gotten in his mouth and down his throat, I pulled it out and he was fine. If its not something like that i would have her checked out, to be on the safe side |

| Dogs do get cold and sore throats. She could have tonsillitis and that would make her cough...try to clear her throat...and swallowing would be difficult. My Maddie has had it a couple of times and recovers quickly from it when put on antibiotics. I hope Bella is okay soon! If she doesn't get back to herself soon, maybe you should take her to the vet. If you do, be sure he/she looks in Bella's throat!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry Bella is not feeling well. I have had mine do that also when they get hair down their throat. It's usually the hair that starts in the corners of their mouths and when they eat it goes down with the food. If not than she could have a sore throat. Hope you can figure out what it is.
