Please pray for Momo
 
Momo is in the emergency vet. He was playing & hit his head on the marble table. About 10-15 mins later, he threw up several times (all his dinner). He looked weak & lethargic. I rushed him to the emergency hospital & they're doing a full blood panel & radiography of his head & body. When the vet was examining him & pressed on his abdomen, he let out a cry & he seemed very bloated.:(
I'm going back to see the test results now. Will update when I get back.
I love him w/all my heart, he's my little boy. PLEASE pray for him...

Jenny, I am so sorry that this is happening to MoMo. He will be in our hearts, prayers and thoughts. I know how much you love your babies, and you are always there for me when I need you. I pray that everything will be O.K. and I will keep watching for an update.

I know i just commented a bit ago but I am so worried about MoMo. I will keep checking back for updates. I am praying he will be fine and get better quickly :hands:

Update on Momo

His test results showed head trauma/ acute onset of disorientation & his stress levels were very high, also creating gas in his stomach. That's why he cried out when the doc was palpating his abdomen.

She ordered plenty of rest w/no food & to see his regular vet in the morning. The skull x-rays showed no sign of fracture.

He can't drink water by himself right now, should I put some in a syringe & give him some water? Since he threw up several times, I don't want him to get dehydrated, I think I'll go & try that. I will be careful so he doesn't aspirate. Since his tongue was sticking out, I did put some water on it w/my finger, but he's so drugged out right now, he can't even move his tongue.

Thank You everyone for the well wishes & prayers. The 1st thing that came to my mind was asking YT friends for help. You guys are wonderful! Will keep you all updated. G'nite.

Oh I am so sorry Jenny. I hope MoMo is better in the morning. I would go ahead and try to give him water but not until he's able to lap with his tongue a bit. I don't think he will be dehydrated if you wait a little while.

I forgot to share a heart breaking story about a sweet female bulldog I met at the hospital, where she's a permanent resident. She had a uterinary infection & couldn't have puppies anymore, so the owner didn't have use for her & left her there. Her nipples were hanging down to the floor. I couldn't stop petting her & massaging her wrinkly body (I love Bullies)...she would move inch by inch, turning her body slowly, so I can reach all the spots where she can't.

Oh no! Jenny I am so sorry about Momo. We are wrapping our hearts and prayers around you and Momo. Please keep us updated, what a little sweetie, please give him gentle kissies for me and a special one for Rozi :)

I am so glad that he is home and it looks like he just had a rough night. Please update about your visit with your regular vet. I wouldnt worry about the water at this moment he needs his rest and if hes out of it it may be hard for him to swallow. Take care of your baby, I will be back later to check in!

I am so sorry your baby is injured. You are such a good mommy and I can tell you are doing everything possible to nurse him back to health. Momo looks very rested in your pictures and that is just what is needed. Don't stress yourself too much about trying to force water. You will be going to the vet this morning and if he is dehydrated the vet can address it then. Poor baby...:( Please let us know what your vet says today. I will say a prayer for both of you :(

Oh my gosh, how scary :(! He is strong though, and I'm sure he will recover from the head trauma, with all your care and love. He still looks just darling in his pics, even w/ that little tongue hangin' out from the Morphine.

Have you tried the water yet? Just be a little careful just in case his swallowing mechanism is a little funny. I like your thought of putting water on his tongue at first, until you know he is swallowing okay (you could use honey or karo water too).

Momo will be in my thoughts all day and I'll be looking for your update after you go the regular vet. Hang in there. :)
