that is exactly what i thought when i seen it. she said she happy enough with him. the 2 injections she give him has seemed to work he has not thrown up and no sign off blood. but i not to feed him till tomorrow. it was a horrific sight to witness. she did say if it happens again then to bring him straight back. |
Did they test for parasites as this can also happen with giardia (and stress can definitely trigger a giardia episode)... |
Scary, hope he is on the mend now. |
no they just checked him over by feeling him all over around the abdomin area, took temp checked eyes and gums, she said all is fine, i kept trying to tell her how much blood there was, it did not seem to worry her. she said he not hydrated . so not much to worry about unless it happens again. he is more settled now but what a terrible couple of days we all had.. |
sorry i made a boob above,, iment to say she said he not dehydrated.. silly me:rolleyes: |

it does sound like it, what way did the vet treat it |
I forgot to ask, did your vet do bloodwork? That's the only way to diagnose HGE. The red blood count (packed volume) will be 60 or above. |
Oh my! Hope things improve shortly. Definitely keep an eye on him... Praying for a quick recovery ... |
today bailie is doin great well so far, this is the first day he will have dinner, just to make him bland food like boiled rice . thanks u all for input have great sunday;) |
