| OMG what is going on with Winston?!?! I was just brushing my furbaby and I came across this awful lump on his leg! It looks like he has been biting it because it has a black scab and fresh blood around it. He is 5 months old and I'm wondering if maybe he got bit by something. He is on advantix but dangit I keep pulling ticks off of him! I don't get why it's not killing the ticks. Anway back to the growth it is at least 1/4" tall off his leg. I will try to post the best photo I can of it....uhhhh my puppy can't catch a break! |

| Oh my!!! I'm not sure what this could be. But I wanted to bump your post. I hope you are able to get some good advice about what this can be soon. And I hope sweet little Winston is able to get that leg fixed up soon.

| It is hard to tell but I would go to the vet as some critters get under the skin of animals and cause damage. Even ticks, if you don't get the head. Good Luck with your little one.

| Wow, that could be anything! I would def. take him in to the vet!! Also, put a onesie on him so he can't get to it and aggrivate it anymore until you can get him in to see the vet.

| Your poor sweet baby! Whatever it is, looks like it hurts and he needs to see a vet.

| The vet did an aspiration on it and said the cells looked "suspicious". She is not sure what it is exacty but she wants to remove it immediately so he will be going under the knife this week. Hopfeully he troops through it just like everything else the poor thing has been through! I will let you know what the biopsy reveals. |

| My lil Dudley had something the size of a very BIG pimple on his stomach after we got back from SC in May. At first i thought it was the head of a tick b/c i picked one off in that area so after about 3 weeks of me picking at it, i took him to the vet....I thought it would be lanced, but ended up getting it cut out and 2 stitches later.....it was a piece of "embedded plant material" I hope it turns out to be that simple for you!
