My yorkie girl has been sneezing and making a sound like she is choking. It is the same sound she makes when i walk her and she is so exciting that she pulls her collar and makes a choking sound. Does anyone know what this may be?

Jackson had this choking/gagging sound for the past 5 days and it wound up being kennel cough.

Totally treatable, he's on antibiotics now and hopefully it will clear up in 2 weeks.

I never thought of that. My son has a new puppy with kennel cough and visited us and my yorkie played with my sons dog. I wonder if kennel cough is contagious?

Yes, highly contagious! Read my earlier post response to Archie, two of mine got it when my daughter came over with her new puppy she got from the humane society.
