Mariel,

I'm so glad you were able to post her test results here. Ellie May and TLC are the two members I was really hoping would see your posts. I've been impressed by their knowledge many, many times. I will keep praying for Mitsy and check back in for updates.

Oh, I don't remember seeing how old she is?

I'm glad to hear that you're seeing a specialist. I hope you get the answers you seek soon and little Misty can begin her recovery.

Thank you all so much! actually we are driving to iowa tomorrow to go get her help. so were doing everything we can! but she is only 4 years old.. still such a baby! but i know in my heart that this cannot be the end of her long life ahead!

Hey everyone! We are currently in Iowa. They believe that she has leptospirosis. They gave us the option to put her down or have her continue there and they would help her but it would cost 5,000 dollars to keep her there for a week. We chose to have then help her. I'm actually 16. And thank god my parents care enough about her! I'm so greatful! But they asked us if she were to go into cardiac arrest if they should resusitate her. My mom said no. Let her go peacefully. Is there a big chance that could happen with why she has?

Oh no!! Poor girl. I'm so glad they think she's treatable, though. A lot of people on here will not vaccinate their pets for this because of the dangers of the vaccine, but I wonder it they know the cost of treatment is so high? I don't know anything about this illness, but I will keep her in my prayers! Please be sure to come back with updates, ok?

Oh no I am so sorry. You and your parents are wonderful to go with the treatment option. I am just wondering if she is stable enough to treat at your regular vet now that it is known what is wrong. Just thought if possible it would save a little money. I will keep you all in my prayers. Thanks for updating.

Oh honey I'm sorry she's so sick but glad to hear there's still a chance
for survival with treatment. So many don't give the Lepto shot but
look at what can happen? I will keep your baby in my prayer's for
her to be strong and come threw this ordeal.
Your parent's are wonderful people to give her a chance.

Bless you and your parents for going the distance for little Misty. I will continue to pray that she recovers completely. I struggled with whether to give this vaccination to my 2 babies (my previous vet didn't give it). After reading your post, I am so thankful I listened to my new vet and did have both dogs vaccinated. Please know that we're sending warm hugs and hope for you all. :hug::hearts-xx
