I would say a harness!! They have a ring for tags and bell on them too... Best of luck yo you and yours!!!:) |
I made my babies a "necklace" out of beeds with a couple of bells on it using elastic threading. This way if they catch their foot in it, it will either break or stretch enough that they won't be hurt. I would rather they break the necklace than do other harm to themselves by getting caught up in a collar. As they babies grow, I just make them a new necklace. |
I believe that a properly sized collar with the right amount of slack is just fine for Yorkies, as it is for all dogs. My yorkie wears a collar at all times to hold her tags. We DO NOT use the collar with a leash. She wears a harness when she is on leash. I don't like a harness all the time because Edie's hair gets tangled in it (this is the same reason why she does not wear clothes, except for a coat when it is very cold). I am a firm believer in dog tags. Even thought my dogs are also microchipped, tags are the quickest way to get your dog returned to you if they should run out and get lost. I speak from experience! |

Well that's an idea too. Of course Eddie and I don't like anything on Zoey now, she is a little mom and lil man loves to sleep on her neck...:) |
Omg I'm so glad he was okay My dog does not wear a collar in the house anymore either because she keeps getting the collar stuck in her mouth. She almost choked when no one was home, but I had forgot something at home and went back just in time to cut her collar off. It's crazy how the things that are supposed to help them can be so dangerous >< |
