OMGosh, how terrifying! I am so glad she's doing better!! I would think this should be one of your BEST birthdays ever. Your baby being ok and getting to come home after such a trauma would be the best gift imaginable. We're sending her lots of get well hugs & kisses! |
How is she doing this morning? Poor baby I hope she is starting to feel better today. :( |
Will keep you and Callie in our prayers that she makes a full recovery. |
We had the same problem with our lil one...we just got Melo 3 days ago and he is only 2 months he would follow my wife around and she would not know he is there and accidentally step on back up on him. We then put a collar with a bell on it so we know here he is at all times when he is out the cage... |
Wow... I am soooo glad to hear that Callie is doing good. That is traumatic to go through. You did all the right things and took very good care of her. You're birthday, although not the greatest, could have ended worse... So have a party today for yourself and for Callie's health! :) YAY! |
Wow, these things can happen so easily and so fast! You and bf did a great job getting her to the emergency vet right away, and catching the additional problems later. I'm glad she is doing well! How big is your girl? (or should I say how "little"?);) I'm sorry your birthday was ruined, but at least it turned out well!!! |
How is Callie? I am really concerened about her and I hope all is well. You sound like a awesome mommy to her just keep observing her and if need be and she does not get better take her for a 2nd opinion please HUGS Vicki |
I am so happy your Cali is doing well. What a scare that must have been. It's wonderful you story has a happy ending. Buddy is big, 16lbs and he's always under foot. I have tripped over him many times and went flying trying catching the wall to break a fall. I hope Cali is back to her old little happy self now. Hugs, |
Wow, I am just now seeing this. What a terrible way to start your birthday evening; so scary, but at least it ended with the gift of Callie being alright. Hope she is continuing with a complete recovery still today. |
Awww, I love your little Callie doll, she is adorable in your avatar. What a horrible experience for all of you. I am glad she checked out ok. It sounds like the vet did a thorough exam. My Lexie is small, I think I may take the advice of putting a little bell on her harness for her safety. I pray your little angel continues to do well. Take care. ;) |
OMG - that is my nightmare! My son is 6'6 and a 2 1/2 pound yorkie is LINT under his feet! I'm only 5'2 and even I have "scooted" her into a wall with my feet  |
How scary, your BF must have felt awful. I'm so happy to hear that she was ok, wondering if she has made a full recovery? |
Oh, I'm so happy that she will be alright. I worry so much about that. I live in an all male household(excepy my Krystal) and they are all tall and/or big. So afraid one of the won't be watching their feet well enough. Even I don't do the shuffle well enough. Give your Callie some extra love and tell your BF that next year's birthday better turn out a WHOLE LOT BETTER!!;) |
Thanks again to everyone for all of the support and concern. Callie has now made a full recovery, 1 week later. I am so thankful that she is okay. I brought her to the vet for her 1 year immunizations and booster. The vet did a follow-up emergency vet check. He checked out her neuro status and her eyes, all is well! The vet told me a scary story of a lil dog with the same situation, except this pup had residual brain damage that changed his personality. The only residual to remind us of the incident is the shaved leg, poor baby girl. She is back to her normal self, excited as ever, loving on everyone and playing with all of her toys like it's her job. Love that Callie roo! :aimeeyork |
I am so glad to hear that Callie has made a full recovery. As awful as that was, and I do know that it was, her full recovery was a wonderful birthday gift!!! (Oh to be 25 again) By the way, happy belated birthday!!!:) |
