| Winston had to go to the vet today. Has anyone's Yorkie ever had an infected toe? Winston has an infected toe on his right back foot. The vet didn't know what caused it but said they are prone to that. He said he could have possibly been bitten by a fire ant. He is on antibiotics for 7 days and antibiotic cream. If it is not well in 7 day I have to take him back and have some surgery on it. He doesn't limp but all he wants to do is chew on it. Today was his birthday. He is 1 yr old today. I was so dissappointed that he had to go to the vet on his birthday. He never goes out without a leash and I watch him very carefully. I can't imagine how his toe got infected. The vet said his toenail was fine, not too long or too short.

| Awww, don't be too upset! It sounds like you are doing all the right things and that the situation is under control. Don't worry! Just follow the vet's orders. |
