|  Irritates me. People please be responsible around your pets... Shredder incident I know a similar story has been posted a while back, but this makes me sick. Another dog (mix breed) was injured when the owner did not turn off the auto mode on his shredder. You can view the web tv show about it at Dog's Tongue Gets Caught In Paper Shredder. Why are people still leaving their shredders in auto mode. There are numerous stories such as this dog's on the Internet. Even toddlers are being injured by paper shredders, when their parents or whoever are leaving the shredders in auto mode. There is no excuse  If you are going to have a shredder around children and pets, at least get one that has shredder safety features that will turn off when it senses a hand or paw getting too near it! |

| I'd heard that this could happen somewhere so I've always made sure to turn it off when I'm done with it. It's a terrible thing to think of.

| Wow I am amazed that so many haven't heard about it. Maybe I spoke too harsh about it, but its sad that our little mistakes have such grave consequences. |

| That's awful! I'm so overprotective of Lilly though... most think I'm too overprotective but oh well! I'd be devastated if something happened to her due to my negligence.
