| please help! Bailee and I were playing few minutes ago and noticed her stomach is bruised and slightly swollen. The bottom of her stomach has two bruises on each side. Kind of along where the nipples are. The nipples themselves look black which is not normal for her. I am just so scared. She is acting completely fine, but the bruisng is bad and I don't know if I should take her the the ER vet!! Ill try to upload a pic in a minute! please help! and she hasn't hurt herself. Bruising that bad she would had to cry and I would have heard that!

| It's impossible to tell without seeing her belly in person and knowing her history whether or not this is an emergency. Bruising and swelling can indicate internal bleeding. The swelling with the bruising concerns me. I would vote for the ER. Any recent procedures or injuries?

| I would definetly have it checked out. Could she have fallen and you not know it? Poor baby. I would take her in to the vet in the morning and make sure everything is okay. Hope and pray she is okay. |

| she is acting fine...if it was serious would she be acting like she is hurting? no recent procedures of any sort. I don't think she could have fallen...she hasn't fallen, I don't think I would have missed it as if I am not here, she is in her kennel...

| If the bruising is perfuse, I would not wait. Bruising is a sign that there has been bleeding under the surface of the skin. If there is a lot of it in the abdominal area, w the addition of swelling, I personally would err on the side of caution and take her in this evening.

| You know, to be on the safe side, I think everyone is right. I would take her on in to the ER. I know how I am about mine and if she were mine thats what I would do. Not knowing what happened it would ease your mind too and I pray its not nothing serious. When my little schnauzer broke her leg in 2 places from a fall off the bed, she cried at first but later on even played. Its hard to tell. We thought she might have sprained it but thank goodness we took her in and sure enough it was broke. Better safe than sorry. |

| I agree with the others, If she were mine I would take her in. I don't think anyone here can tell you what is wrong with her based on a photo, I wouldn't want anyone except a vet telling me that. if it is internal its nothing you want to mess with. Dogs can be sick and still act totally normal.

| Has she been spayed? I have noticed similar changes in my girls when they are close to a heat. Or if hair is growing in it can look different than usual. If you're not sure though, it's best to have a vet look at her.

| Good luck with Bailee! I haven't seen you around YT in a while - you were one of the first posters I remember when I joined because we had both gotten pups - can you believe they are 3 now? I hope Bailee is okay and please update us!
