Im so happy for you and your little one, you have been a very good mom with all the stuff that has happened to him in a short time, sandy and chester are sending you yorkie hugs........Im so sorry for some of the comments that were made, any one of us could be in a pickle in a heart beat. |
WAHOO!!! Outstanding news! I'm so glad Teddy has made a recovery. What a frightening experience! Kudos to you for getting him medical care so quickly. Being all to familiar with epilepsy, he truly is a miracle pup. Being that he is so young and his brain is still developing, his brain may very well rewire itself to correct any possible damage. I'm sorry for the negativity. I thought about him frequently. I'm so glad you came back and gave us the wonderful update. He's a very lucky pup to have a Mom like you! |
Lorrie, you are right! First and foremost, judgment in flesh form is a sin in and of itself, and the fact that no one knows you, your heart, or your situation, and are willing to sit in judgment of you and your family is even more disgusting. The main fact is and always was Teddy's condition. I am so happy he's doing better, and continued to place you and the furbaby in my prayers. I, too, am in a financially devastating situation and could find myself homeless with two furbabies in a few short months if something doesn't give and soon. This doesn't, in any way, diminish my responsibility to my animals and makes me that much more aware of just how blessed I am to have them in my life. If not for them, their poochie smoochies, their unconditional love, I am not not sure how I would be getting through all of this. Teddy is a fighter and is on his way to a speedy recovery. That should be the point of focus. If you need an ear, advice, reassuring, etc., there are plenty of us that are more than willing to give that support. Just think of all the people you made feel a little bit better by being their scapegoat for the day. People with lives so terrible they have to berate you and make you feel bad over the internet must be hurting inside. Don't judge them, just pray for them. ;) |

THis has got to be the most heartless and cold response I have ever heard from someone asking for help! I hope and pray you never get into such a situation, but I guess from your response you have all angles covered in life. |

Amen to that!!! I like your way of thinking, wish we were neighbors. |
Update on Teddy Well, I am sorry to say that Teddy had a relapse and is back in the hospital. He was doing well but suddenly today he started to have symptoms of a seizure again so we had to rush him to the hospital. They are not sure what is wrong with him or if he just has idiopathic seizure disorder. He will probably se staying overnight so we hope we will get to take him home tomorrow. It is frustrating to not have a clue. Thank you for listening Lorrie |
Pictures of Teddy I wanted to let you know I put up a couple of pics of teddy under the album part. Look under Teddy ruxpin. |
Crap...that totally stinks. I know how frustrating it can be. It was the same with my son and his juvenile asthma. I sure hope they can control it with meds. I know they do with humans and many of the meds for humans are the same for canines, as well. I believe Dilantin is the anti-seizure medication of choice these days. I just had mine neutered and he had a bit of a relapse himself. They didn't send him home with anything...no surgery cone, no meds of any kind. Well, he was doing fine for a few days and then he decided to remove the scab and lick the living daylights out of this open wound. I think I have it under control. I put the cone on him and have been using topical antibiotic and cortisone for the itch. They can be a handful. My prayers are with you and your little guy. I know how much you love that animal and your heart is breaking seeing him ill. Please holler if you just want to chat. Your friend in furbabies, Lisa, Lilly & Jesse....Oh, BYW, I posted more photos of Jesse on my page...under the album "The Teapot"...just wait til you see the size of this monster.... :) |
