Tobie's Biopsy
 
I just took Tobie to the vet because he has had a little bump under his arm for about 2 months now and the other night when I was petting him I noticed that the bump has gotten larger. Well, I just got home and I had to leave him, he looked soo sad and didnt want me to go, it broke my heart. The vet said it is probably a benign cancer, but we will not know for sure until the results come back at the beginning of next week. I am just worried sick, he has to go under again but it is not like going under when they get neutered. So please please, pray for Tobie. Thank you

Thank you, I am crying soo hard but I am just trying to keep thinking positive. I will keep everyone updated. I just cannot believe this.

Ahhhhh.....

A few months ago TJ had a growth removed from the top of his paw. It was benign. The Vet said it is kinda common in *young males* - although, apparently TJ at 4 y/o was too old for that, so that's why we decided to remove the entire mass just to be sure :)

Tobie will be just fine. He is a strong pup. What kind of anesthesia are they using?

I am not sure, after I heard the word cancer, I didnt hear anything else. I pick him up at 2 so I will let you know.

aww poor little Tobie. I hope everything turns out ok for him. Try to be strong for your boy. I know he will pull thru ok.

Oh my goodness. I cant believe this! I'll pray for Tobie. I'm so sorry =/ I would be worried sick sick too! Just hard to believe little Tobie has that. =(:(

Tobie is still a young guy, so maybe that's what it is? I have a feeling Tobie is going to be fine, he's such a little pisser. I am sure you are scared out of your wits though. :(

I am soooo sorry that this is happening! I know how worried you must be...but Tobie will be fine. He's a tough little guy, and he's going to be ok. I'll be praying for him and you!

Thanks everyone, I just got Tobie and we are back home from the vet, he was throwing up so they gave him a shot for that and also a pain shot, he seems to be really out of it right now, he keeps looking around and when he walks he pees some. But I talked to the vet, and they said that we will know something in about 7 days. The anesthesia that they used stated with a D, cant remember what it is called but it is a shot and then they give them another shot to reverse the anesthesia. I stopped at the store to get him a cozy dog bed. Thanks again everyone, this has been a very very hard day for me and Tobie but we will keep everyone posted! Thanks again.

So sorry you and Tobie had to go through this....i am glad he is home with you now and you guys can just snuggle in and rest! I will keep him in my prayers for the tests to come back okay...God Bless..

I'm glad to hear that you guys are back home. Tomorrow he's going to be running around and killing Mr. Squirrel all over again! Just wait, you'll see!!! And I know he's loving that new cozy bed you got him...but watch out...as soon as his anesthesia wears off, you'll be calling him killer again!

I'm sorry to hear that Tobie had a mass that needed to be removed. hopefully its nothing. i know its very worrying and it stinks you need to wait a week. hopefully it will come back sooner.

p.s. the sedative was most likely Domitor which is great for small procedures that dont require general anesthesia. very safe. he's just gonna be a little sleepy and loopy for a little bit

I am sorry that Tobbie is going thru this. :( He's home now so at least you can hold him and give him lots of lov-ins. :) We'll be keeping Tobie in our thoughts and prayers.

Easy for me to say, but try not to dwell on waiting for the results and keep good thoughts going. Hugs to you and Tobie.

Thank yall soo much, I was just talking to my mom and I remember that the vet told me that he would only have one stitch but when I picked him up the vet told me that four stitches and I forgot to ask why, so I am not sure what that mean.:confused: But anyways, he doing good running around and eatting but I am trying to keep him low key.

I just saw this, I'm sorry Tobie had to have this done but I'm happy he is home and doing well. I'll keep him in my prayers and think positive thoughts.
