Momo does that quite often these days, I took in a video of him doing that to my vet awhile back. He said it was allergies too. Sometimes it can be some toys that are fuzzy & it can get stuck in their delicate throats or dust or hair (whether it be theirs or ours). Maybe changed a laundry detergent, or cleaner. It can also be spring time...high pollen time. To help him stop, I plug his nose w/my finger & that makes him breath through his nose & he'll stop. |

We also saw the Dogs 101 Animal Planet episode on Yorkies. It sounds like it's normal for them. Reesie does it too but it's usually over in 5 to 10 seconds. Here's an article about it-- Reverse Sneezing (Pharyngeal Gag Reflex) - VeterinaryPartner.com - a VIN company! |

As for reverse sneezing, whenever mine do it I blow into their nose and it helps them to stop. Personally, I think it scares then and once they become calm the sneezing stops. Quote:
