Oh no Widget is scheduled for this tomorrow. I am scared to death that he will be crying in pain. My vet does not have overnight facilities and he sends him home the day of surgery. Please pray for him that he doesn't have to go thru this horrible pain. If he starts crying, I will be too. He is 9 months old and has been very tough thru this. Here's hoping he will do ok. I have read on other posts of vets using pain patches. I am going to call the vet and ask him about it. |
Oh dear Im so sorry he is in such pain. I would see if the vet has something stronger. That would break my heart... |
Mya came home the day of surgery also...your baby will be so out of it from the anesthesia he/she will just want to sleep for the first night...it gets hard when they want to be up and active. But youll get through it!! |

Vegas Update! Hi all!! I just wan't to thank everyone for there concern and support, It will be 2 weeks on Saturday and I am happy to say that Vegas is up and running around using both legs and is healing up really good! I am so happy he is getting better, My vet did give us some more meds a (muscle relaxer) since he was having some bad spasm's in both hips and we think that the reason he was crying so much was because of the pain patch he had on for the first 72hours, I guess some puppies don't handle the pain patch very well and are completely out of it and sometimes cry because they don't know whats going on, as soon as we removed the patch and about 12hrs after he didn't cry at all. Thanks again for all your help!! |
Yay! I'm so relieved he's feeling better! We're sending hugs and kisses to the little guy! :) |
That is great news that he is feeling better and healing so quickly! Yay Vegas, way to go! :happyboun: |
