My Yorkie, Tucker is 5 months old now. he was sick fior a few days, and wouldn't eat his food from a bowl. So, I fed him his food from my hand. Guess what? That's the only way he'll eat it now. I kind of enjoy it because he's my baby, and I have lots of free time. I know it's not a good thing to have him so spoiled, and I feel a little guilty about it.

sorry i didn't make it clear.

he will eat but only when i feed him.

if i put food in a bowl he won't eat at all.

but strange he go around the house and vacuum for us ( eats all the papers and garbage ) no kiddin.

he like something and few weeks later he hates it. how can i go him back.

right now he only wants beef.

PS: one more thing.

he only sleeps on people beds. meaning mine, my parents. he will cry if we don't put him on our bed. which is fine. but alot of time he goes inside the sheets. and it's a bit dirty. we bath him once every 3 days. becasue he only sleeps on our beds...

I completely understand what you say. if I would have left Sasha I would habe been her slave too. But you need to give be stronger. They are like kids and men lol they will go as far as you let them. Sasha wanted to be picky about food and wanted to sleep in my bed too. but I bought her a nice comfy bed and didn't listen to her when she was whining, so she loves her bed now!

About the food, what I do is that I leave her food out all day because I work all day. but after 7pm I take her food away, after that I might only give her small treats. like fruits or a small bone treat. but you have to be disciplined about this so he will pick up the routine. At the beginning he might not want to eat but when he is starving he will eat!

Ah...so what you are saying is....he's spoiled totally rotten! Here's how you cure that....take a BIG breath & keep doing what you are doing!!!!:p

I am so sorry that your little one is not eating. It sounds like there may be a health issue here. My dog stopped eating and was drinking a lot and was found to have pancreatitis and kidney disease, so it would be wise to take the pup to the vet asap. Hope all goes well.

Tucker eats from my hand, sleeps in bed with us, wants lots of attention (which he gets). He happy and spoiled. I'm happy that I can spoil him. It's different with children, of course. Spoiling isn't good past a few months. To a certain extent, if you have the time, spoiling is fine with dogs.

I agree. Too much bathing can dry the skin.

Maggie just saw a dermatologist and he recommended a bath twice weekly and in between cleaning with a damp cloth...

he rarely goes outside. but he's hairy is messy.

and smells. bad.

PS:

i have try to put food out on bowl and leave it there. without feeding him anything.

guess what. 4 days passed. no one single bite.

i got worrie. and gave him meat. and he eat it all. but only if i feed him. and it have to be Small piece. if big piece he will hide it somewhere..


it's really hard..
