The frustrating thing is...she had the first shots when we got her at about 6 weeks. When we took her to the vet they knew the date and her age and still gave her the second round. This is realllly upsetting.:mad:

Lepto does come in the combo but they can get it without. If they still want to give the lepto, please find a new vet. That is very unsafe since she already reacted.

If the breeder gave it, they likely just don't agree with breeder-given vaccines, so some redue the vaccines altogether.

Well I am still not sure about doing vaccine #4...I will tell them no Lepto and I am sure they will listen...it is my puppy afterall.

I know the next big one is rabies...I am not looking forward to that one.:(

Crystal is absolutely right. Those vaccines Cali had were absolutely worthless. They shouldn't get their first vaccines until they are at least 9-10 weeks old.

A study of a cross section of different puppies showed that the age at which they were able to respond to a vaccine and develop protection (become immunized) covered a wide period of time. At six weeks of age, 25% of the puppies could be immunized. At 9 weeks, 40% of the puppies were able to respond to the vaccine and were protected. The number increased to 60% by 16 weeks, and by 18 weeks, 95% of the puppies could be immunized.

If we do the 4th one we will wait until she is older.

You need to watch this video. And the OP was right, NO LEPTO. Mine get rabi(3 year) and that's it after puppy shots are given. Now, my outside dogs do also get distemper, but, even then, that's it for them

The bordatella intranasal can cause kennel cough (it is said to be a mild version but I'm not convinced), so yes. The other vaccines shouldn't cause it.
