Thanks for the feedback I will follow up with everyone tomorrow after I return from the vet hopefully with a diagnosis

i don't think its a seizure either but it does look neurological. I would definitely ask your vet to refer you to a specialist. i would be worried that something is wrong with the spine. it also looks like her neurons are just firing all over the place making her body move uncontrollably.

Oh, poor Gabby. That is heartbreaking to watch.

Lady has had seizures for nine years, but hers look nothing like that. Hers are grand mal seizures.

There is what they call a partial seizure, where only part of the brain is affected so you only see the seizure in the part of the body it controls.

PARTIAL OR FOCAL SEIZURES

Have you considered taking Gabby to a neurologist?

I am not a vet, however I think it definitely looks neurological. Maybe a MRI and x-ray might lead you to an answer. My heart goes out to you and your beautiful little baby. Please keep us posted.

This is my thought exactly...this seems neurological, most likely with the spinal cord. It seems to be her back legs are not getting the message from her brain as to what to do. Has she ever had an injury or fall?
Please keep searching for the answer...my thoughts and prayers are with you. The idea to video this while it was happening was brilliant...sometimes when you take your dog to a vet and she is acting totally normal...it's difficult to explain what happens during an episode, and the vet doesn't have a clear idea of the seriousness involved. Again, I pray for your little one...
Something else to remember, do not allow her to jump on or off of anything...get an MRI...soon.

I would love to help you out hon, but the video is not working for me so I sent it it a friend and it is not working for her either. HMM I am a Altoaxial Instbility Mom. I have 4. 5 year old that has AAI. I surely wish I could see the problem you little one is having. Sorry you are going through this with your little one.

I tried the video too and it didnt work. I too have a dog that has siezures and just like people all dogs siezure different. My dog just stares in space and if not in his kennel he will just keep backing up and his front legs go stiff.
Anyways I hope that you can figure out whats wrong with your baby. ((hugs))

Aww, poor Gabby. I hope you can figure out what is wrong with her. It is heartbreaking to watch.

Altoaxial Instbility, my thoughts exactly..When Manolo was having his seizure he could not walk nor was he alert. He layed on his side very stiff and just whinned. Please let us know what the vet says....Wishing you guys the best .....Lissette

like I said in my earlier post, not all dogs siezure the same.
My dog has siezures and he doesnt lay on his side. He walks and looks alert but isnt, his eyes stay wide open. My dog keep walking backwards if he isnt in his kennel and his front legs go stiff he looks like a penquin. (that is the only way I can explain it) I usually no when he is going to have one cause he starts to get antsy so I usually put him in his kennel so he stays safe, but I stay right there with him untill its over. Yes, he as been offically diagnoses with a siezures disorder. Humans are the same way, my husband and my father both suffer from grand mal siezures, my husband falls to the floor and shakes terrible, my father stares into space and goes stiff. Two very different ways of having the same type seizure.
I havent been able to view the video so I dont know exactly what her dog is doing, but unless the vet (which I might of missed in her post) has ruled out a seizure disorder, it is still possible that her is seizing.
To the OP, I wish you and your pup the best of luck and that your vet finds whats wrong with her soon. ((hugs))

i just saw that seizure has been ruled out, I must have overlooked it. I really hope they can find out what is wrong.. ((hugs))

Is there any chance someone could have given the dog a large quantity of alcohol such as a mixed drink or beer? This is pretty much what happens, if there is brain injury from it.

What blood work has been done and is the vet willing to refer you to a neurologist?
