Baby Chloe UPDATE
 
I took Chloe to the vet today because I noticed that her abdomen was distended. They did an ultrasound and said it is filled with fluid. They are going to drain it tomorrow. They are consulting a specialist in LA and she is going to have another ultrasound by a tech next week. They do ultrasounds, but they have a specialist who comes in once a week to do more accurate and detailed scans.They are trying to determine if her liver is still enlarged and inflamed, or if it is shrinking and shutting down. They said her ALT is dropping, but it could mean her liver is shutting down. She seems to be doing so good. It is just up and down. Good news followed by bad.

oh geeze. If it isn't one thing its another isn't it? I hoping it is nothing or something very fixable :) I'll be thinking of you guys!

I am praying very hard that the specialists can figure all this out with what's going on now with Baby Chloe.:hands: I know this must be so hard & confusing since she seems to be feeling better. Thoughts & Prayers with you & Baby Chloe tomorrow.:heart to

That just makes me sick to hear that. Poor little baby. Will keep praying for her. They can surprise you and things can turn around and lets just keep praying and believing that it will for little Chloe.

I feel so bad for little Chloe, and for you. *HUG* I will be praying that whatever this is, it is nothing serious and can be easily fixed. That poor baby has been through so much. This is such a worry for you...bless your heart.

Awww I am so sorry to hear your furbaby is not feeling well. I know how I feel when I even think something is wrong with Baxter so i can just imagine what you're going through. All my (and Baxter's) best thoughts and prayers are with you!

I was reading your other post about Chloe and her poisoning from the sego. I saw that she was eating a large quantity of TREATS and was hoping they weren't liver please note>>>A little bit of liver can be a nutritious treat. Too much liver can cause a dangerous overdose of vitamins A & D.. too much cooked liver (three servings a week) can lead to vitamin A toxicity. This can cause deformed bones, excessive bone growth on the elbows and spine, weight loss, and anorexia. Check the label of your canned dog food to be sure that it does not contain liver if you are giving your dog liver also. Liver should only be feed in smal quanties and not very often.

Poor little girl!!! I am praying for her so hard!! She's been thru SO much!! It brings tears to my eyes. Not to mention, you have been thru SO much with her!!! We're thinking about you, and sending prayers your way!! Keep us posted please!!! I really hope she's okay :(

They took 130 CCs of fluid out of Chloe's abdomen today. It looks better and feels much softer. She hasn't had a great day. Not eating and very tired. She goes back Wed for blood work and Thursday for her ultrasound. Hope she is feeling better tomorrow. I hate it when she won't eat. Thank you everyone for your continued concern. Im glad you guys aren't tired of hearing me worry about my sick girl.
