Poor little Reggie. Hopefully this vet visit will get him on the road to recovery. Perhaps the meds just don't agree with him. Once they are out of his system he will stop vomiting. Hugs, |
poor reggie :( i hope you have good news from the vet today miss buffey had a reaction to her pain meds after her spay ... she was vomiting foamy, liquidy stuff for almost two days...we called our vet and they told me to just watch her (we have since changed vets!!!) ... we ended up taking her to the ER vet on easter morning because it was turning to pinkish foam ... i am SO glad we did that because she had to be on other meds for a week to get everything back to normal again ... they said it was VERY good we brought her in otherwise things could have gone downhill i am so glad you took him in and i pray that you will update us with good news soon! :) |
The vet says given his history of a sensitive stomach she thinks it may be ulcerated or irritated from the Metacam. He didn't have a fever and she said his stomach felt normal on palpitation. She gave him a shot for nausea and sent home some nausea pills. She also gave him some medicine for the esophagus and stomach irritation to take twice a day. I did give him about 1 TBSP of his Royal Canin puppy food moistened with water at 10:15 am and so far he has held that down. I had to give him something because he was standing on his toes looking at the bag of food on the table and barking to let me know he was hungry. The vet said that was okay to give it to him in small amounts like that. |
Well he kept down his liquid medicine this morning and a little food and I was to give him his nausea pill at 11:30. I gave it to him and 5 mins later he started vomiting! Sheesh! I think it may be from the taste of the pill and the fact it was kinda big but I called the vet and she said watch him and if he vomits again I have to bring him back in. |
