Did you take her to the vet? How is she doing? |
Please let us know how she is doing. I'm sure you already took her to the Vet. Good Luck! :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
How high did her temperature climb to? If it climbs to high it can cause organ failure as well as brain damage and even death. I have a rescued yorkie that begins to pant excessively and the twitching and muscle rigidity and of course the body temp. escalates very rapidly. I have to immediately cool him down to keep it from rising to a dangerous level. After many specialist and many tests the conclusion is malignant hyperthermia. Such a horrible thing that can be brought on by many things. Please take her immediately to the vet or emergency center if she has another one of these episodes. If any one else has a yorkie with this condition, I would love to hear from you as well. This is rare for small breeds but does occur with very muscular dogs such as greyhounds. Keep us updated. Prayers are with you. |
Angel Is up and Running! Sorry, it took so long to get back a Reply!;) My vet:nursing: gave her some med's and within 24 hrs she was up and running again!:animal36:woof: we also gave her nutri cal, and plenty of nutrients and rest:thumbup: she was really tired afterwards,:dogzzz: but like I was saying within 24hrs she was good.:rbyorkie: we were very worried. She had a litter of Pups and they were just sucking her dry, and she wasn't getting enough to replenish what they were taking. Hopefully that won't happen again! We are keeping a close eye on that now. Her temp. didn't get very high.:yay_jump: I am so Thankful for finding you all that was so supportive!:thumbs I will keep you posted and keep posting on here for sure! :yorkietal |
