Oh girl! If you knew how many times I went through this with Ranger when he was younger.... It's horrible! I am SO GLAD you took him in when you did! So many 1st time dog owners here lately haven't wanted to do the right thing and take their dog into the vet for similar symptoms. Now you will just have to be careful and make sure he NEVER gets anything other than his regular food. HGE seems to happen more frequently after it happens once, so be very careful with his diet. I would also start him on a probiotic when he gets back on track. Good luck!!!!! So glad things worked out well! |
Not Sure The vet did not say whether he checked or not |

HGE is awful. Lady's had it three times. |
Oops, guess I just assumed. Did she say he was kept because he was hemmoraging? Sorry if not to the op if that's not the case, I probably need to read these closer than I do! Well, hope it wasn't HGE, hope it was just an irritated GI, but even so, it could have turned into HGE had you waited. I just want to give you props for getting him to the vet quickly! I just went back and re-read the thread- I missed the update where they vet diagnosed him as inflammed or irritated GI. Sorry guys. |
Inflamed Gi No problem, he does not have HGE, Thank God. He is back to his old self tonight and I was so glad to see it! Thanks. |
Thank god he is okay, it is like one of our own when a fellow yt member dog gets sick.. |
glad to hear he is ok and it's nothing too serious!! glad you got it taken care of!! :) |
